Topical Keratolytic
Each gram of ointment contains:
Betamethasone Dipropionate.....0.64 mg
Salicylic Acid.....30 mg
PROPERTIES:
Betamethasone is an active topical corticosteroid with sustained anti-inflammatory, antipruritic and vasoconstrictive actions.
Betamethasone provides a rapid response in those inflammatory dermatoses that are normally responsive to topical corticosteroid therapy and is often effective in less responsive conditions such as psoriasis.
Salicylic acid has keratolytic properties as well as bacteriostatic and fungicidal actions, it also serves to stabilize the protective acid mantle of the skin.
Salicylic acid helps the penetration of the corticosteroid into the deeper layers of the corneum.
